Nebraska Rep. Bacon joined 34 other House Republicans who voted for the bipartisan legislation to create an independent commission to investigate the Jan. 6th Capitol riot.

“I stand by our law enforcement and over 150 Capitol Hill Police who were injured on January 6th. We should learn why leadership utterly failed to be prepared that day. Transparency and learning the facts are needed,” Rep. bacon tweeted. “Finally, we should all agree that whether violence comes from the left or right, we should denounce it and hold the perpetrators accountable.”
