Freshman Representative Peter Meijer voted to impeach former President Trump and also voted to establish an independent Jan. 6th commission.

“I just spoke on the House floor in strong support of H.R. 3233, a bill to establish a bipartisan commission to investigate the disgraceful Jan. 6 attack on our Capitol. I proudly supported this effort back in January, and I will vote in favor of it tonight,” Rep. Meijer tweeted. “There is no replacement for an independent, bipartisan commission with a mandate to produce a definitive public report to clear way the myths & fictions & get right on the facts. We must have accountability for what occurred on Jan. 6 to move on &heal as a nation.”
