Senator Susan Collins voted in favor of legislation to establish a Jan. 6 commission. Collins signaled that she supported the bill but proposed an amendment to address the timeline and staffing which were unclear in the bill.
“I want to see a commission … There are a lot of unanswered questions and I’m working very hard to secure Republican votes for a commission,” Collins told reporters.
