Missouri Representative Vicky Hartzler has entered the Senate race to replace retiring GOP Senator Roy Blunt. Hartzler joins an already crowded field of opponents, including former Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and former Governor Eric Greitens,

The Hill report:

Hartzler has represented Missouri’s vast 4th Congressional District since 2011, winning her seat after narrowly defeating 17-term incumbent Rep. Ike Skelton.

In a video announcing her campaign, Hartzler cast the U.S. as being in a state of “crisis,” echoing a common Republican talking point that the Democratic Party is barreling the country toward socialism.

“The Democrat Party has been taken over by socialists and they are endangering our security, bankrupting our nation, killing our jobs, fueling inflation, harming our children, defending our police, shredding our freedoms and rewriting our history,” Hartzler said.

“They are destroying the country you and I love, and they must be stopped,” she added.

Mark McCloskey is also running for the Missouri Senate seat. McCloskey gained national attention last year after he and his wife waved guns at racial injustice protesters in St. Louis.

We think that Vicky would make a great Senator from our state of Missouri. She knows how this state ticks! She has a rural Missouri background and understands how important agriculture is in the Show Me State! The business community will have a strong advocate for new business in our state, and she knows how important the application of scientific knowledge is for practical purposes, especially in industry! We need a women in Washington who understands how to make her State of Missouri successful, financially stable, and moving forward toward the future!

Senator Josh Hawley is from Missouri (so was my stubborn Grandma) and from the beginning he was onto Big Tech. Maybe if he had been listened to we could have stopped Big Tech before they gained so much power. Big Tech is going after him HUGELY.

I think she will be a great candidate and if successful a great Senator. But he is right it is an overcrowded field. Good Luck Vicky, can’t wait to see the debates among all of the candidates! It will be illuminating!

we cannot spare a seat in congress for a chance at the senate, she needs to stand-pat, for now and run if the field thins or after the next election

The Republican Party members had better get in their heads that they MUST get organized together, and work together. This is what it will take to defeat the Democrat Party, and that political party MUST be defeated, if the Republic is to survive. The Democrats stay organized and united, because there are very few of them who have any personal honor or principles to govern their actions – they just follow orders from their political bosses. Republicans had better be just as well organized.

I don’t care if a female or a male… as long as they are a true conservative and a Patriot. Would prefer a military/ lawyer combo. In the likes of Gov. DeSantis.🇺🇸
