Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance’s two-year probe into the Trump Organization has not resulted in criminal charges against the former president, and Trump called the “politically motivated prosecutors” a “disgrace” to the nation.
“Radical Left New York City and State Prosecutors, who have let murderers, rapists, drug dealers, and all other forms of crime skyrocket to record levels, and who have just announced that they will be releasing hundreds of people involved in violent crime back onto the streets without retribution of any kind, are rude, nasty, and totally biased in the way they are treating lawyers, representatives, and some of the wonderful long-term employees and people within the Trump Organization,” Trump began in a verbose statement.
According to Trump’s personal lawyer, Ronald Fischetti, the former president will not be indicted by a New York grand jury following the lengthy investigation into the organization for alleged insurance and bank fraud. Prosecutors were also seeking to find a company connection to supposed hush money payments to two women Trump was accused of having affairs with, which he has denied.
“After hundreds of subpoenas, over 3 million pages of documents, 4 years of searching, dozens and dozens of interviews, and millions of dollars of taxpayer funds wasted, they continue to be ‘in search of a crime’ and will do anything to frighten people into making up the stories or lies that they want, but have been totally unable to get,” Trump remarked. “It is a continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt of all time.”
Fischetti said that Vance’s team has narrowed the scope of the investigation to focus on top organization employees who have allegedly failed to pay taxes on corporate perks including cars, apartments, and school tuition.
Trump accused Vance’s staff of working in conjunction with “Washington, D.C. hacks” that will try to stop the MAGA movement at all costs, “even if it involves prosecutorial misconduct,” so they can embarrass the Republican Party.
“Having politically motivated prosecutors, people who actually got elected because they will ‘get Donald Trump,’ is a very dangerous thing for our Country,” he said. “In the end, people will not stand for it. Remember, if they can do this to me, they can do it to anyone!”
He warned that the Radical Left’s tactic of targeting companies they perceive as politically opposed to their agenda is “devastating” New York. “Washington, D.C. and ultimately, the US Supreme Court, should finally stop these vicious, angry, and highly partisan prosecutors,” Trump concluded. “They are a disgrace to our Nation!”
