DALLAS, TX– Over the weekend conservatives from across the country gathered in Dallas, TX for the Conservative Political Action Conference. Republican power players and supporters mingled and listened to speakers from across the country recant that despite losses in the 2020 election cycle the conservative movement must remain focused on winning back majorities and saving America.
CPAC is known as the largest and longest-standing conservative conference in the nation since starting in the 70s.
The weekend-long conference brought in Republican politicians, media figures, world leaders, and business owners to speak to the thousands of attendees, and everyone seemed to have a similar message. It’s imperative that Joe Biden does not remain in the White House in 2024.
Kimberly Guilfoyle looked at thousands of conservatives and said, “Joe ‘oh bummer’ Biden is in the White House and nobody knows why.”
While conservatives slammed Biden’s border crisis, handling of Russia, the current state of the country’s economy among his other failures they pointed to the possibility of another Trump presidency as a primary hope for the future.
Former President Trump has strongly hinted at mounting a third presidential campaign in 2024 but has yet to make any formal declaration. At CPAC Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick noted a recent meeting with the former President in which he made another strong indication about his 2024 plans.
Patrick said that he was with Trump in Bedminster, N.J. when he announced a major lawsuit against three Big Tech companies and their CEOs.
“Dan, are you ready for one more in 2024?” Trump asked the TX Lieutenant Governor to which he said he responded he’s ready for another fight.
Trump previously endorsed Patrick’s re-election campaign through his Save America PAC.
“Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is a great fighter for the people of Texas. He has stood up for Life, Liberty, the Second Amendment, Border Security, our Military and our Vets, and our God-given Freedoms. He has governed by conservative principles of LOW TAXES and careful spending, always doing what is best for his great State and for America. Texans should re-elect him! He is outstanding and has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”
During his remarks at CPAC, Lt. Gov. Patrick referenced the left’s potent hatred for Trump over the years noting it went into overdrive when he defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.
“He stopped them when they thought they had victory in their hand,” Patrick told the crowd, referencing the 2016 election.
Looking ahead to 2024 and a possible Trump campaign Patrick told the cheering crowd, “In Texas we stand with Donald Trump.”
Trump also broke the record at CPAC for the highest approval rating recorded.
Trump said in a statement from his Save America PAC, “98% approval rating at CPAC, the highest ever, by far. A new record!”
