While Trump is still Republican’s favorite to run in 2024, if he decides not to launch a third presidential campaign Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is a strong second choice. Straw polls across the country have indicated his rise in popularity may only grow until the next election. According to another recent poll, Republicans ranked DeSantis as their first choice for a candidate if Trump doesn’t run, winning 39% of the vote.
