In June 2021, Democrat-led New Orleans reported a 12% unemployment rate. The study conducted by WalletHub ranked New Orleans as the worst city in America in regard to recovering the labor market. The study reported New Orleans had a 139.05% change in unemployment from January 2020 to June 2021.
