In early August, Republican Governor Lary Hogan announced that state employees will be required to show proof they have at least received their first vaccine by September 1. Hogan’s health order applies to employees of 48 state facilities, including the Department of Health, Department of Juvenile Services, Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, and Department of Veterans Affairs. The governor also notes that those who cannot receive the vaccine will be forced to go weekly testing.
Currently, the city of Baltimore has re-implemented its indoor mask mandate out of concern for the delta variant.
