Chipman Loses His Firearm
It was reported several times that ATF director nominee David Chipman had lost his service gun while serving as an agent at the ATF. This is a big deal, the man poised to become the head of the agency that regulated firearms and the man who is a major proponent of gun control has proven that he can’t even keep control of his own gun.
Chipman had allegedly lost his service gun after leaving it unattended in his vehicle, something that directly violated the ATF’s policies on proper service gun storage and violated common sense. The Senate is still investigating these allegations but many of his fellow agents have come out to say that this story is true.
