In response to increasingly widespread and totalitarian vaccine mandates, the Right should echo these words as often as possible: “I support a woman’s right to choose…whether or not to take the COVID-19 vaccine.”
Let the Left explain why they do not support a woman’s right to choose…whether or not to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Left has supported “a woman’s right to choose” since the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision legalized abortion across America in 1973. In the ensuing 48 years, barely a Democrat speech or fundraising letter emerged without genuflecting at the altar of “choice.” Interestingly, as abortion lately has grown less popular, the Left celebrates “a woman’s right to choose” without stating explicitly what it is that a woman is trying to choose.
Candidate Joe Biden said as much when he declared on June 19, 2019: “I support a woman’s right to choose.” Biden added: “I’m going to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own personal decisions when it gets to her health care.”
Vice President Kamala Harris spoke similarly last September 9: “The right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is not negotiable, ” Harris said at the White House. “The right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is their decision. It is their body.”
“Their body?” Some 165 million American women all share one body?
This anatomical marvel notwithstanding, the Left needs to be reminded of their rigid insistence that women have a right to choose, just as they now abandon the concept of choice, for women and men, regarding the very personal decision about whether or not to receive the vaccine against COVID-19. If sucking a human baby out of one’s body is a matter of personal choice, so should be sticking a needle into it.
