Melania Refused to Condemn the Capitol Riot
According to sources from Politico that have gotten a preview of Stephanie Grisham’s book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw in The Trump White House,” Melania Trump refused the initially condemn the Capitol riot. According to Grisham, on January 6th at about 1:15 pm Grisham, who was serving as the First Lady’s chief of staff asked if she would like to tweet “Do you want to tweet that peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence?” which Melania replied “no.”
However, Melania Trump did later release a lengthier statement on the events of Jan. 6th and condemned the violence.
