Roger Stone, a former adviser to Donald Trump who was also granted a presidential pardon, was served legal documents related to his role in the Jan. 6th Capitol riot. Stone was served the documents during a live radio interview with Real Talk 93.3 radio in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Washington Examiner reports:
“Hold on a second, I have a process server at my front door about to serve me in the latest lawsuit,” Stone said, before exchanging a few words with the process server while he was still on the air.
“Alright, I have just been served in the January 6th lawsuit — live, right here on your radio show,” Stone continued. “This is a big, big stack of papers, which is good because we’re out of toilet paper.”
Stone confirmed to the Washington Examiner on Thursday that he was served the documents, adding, “I think it provided a unique opportunity to make the case that this lawsuit is baseless, groundless, unsubstantiated, and reckless.”
The U.S. Capitol Police filed a lawsuit on Aug. 26 against Trump, Stone, and other “violent extremist groups,” such as Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys, for an alleged conspiracy “to stop Congress from confirming President Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory,” according to court records.
