The Collapse of Afghanistan
The collapse of Afghanistan has been nothing short of a nightmare, especially for our troops and our Afghan allies in the region.
The withdrawal from Afghanistan was needed, this has been agreed upon by virtually everyone and even advocated for by former President Donald J. Trump, but it can also be said that the manner in which the Biden administration went about doing this was wrong.
13 U.S. servicemen and women were killed as a result of Biden’s withdrawal from the region and many families felt disrespected by Biden while he attended the dignified transfer ceremony.
Countless Americans were left behind in the hasty pullout and even more of our Afghan allies, to whom a promise was made that we would get them out, were left stranded. Many of those who were left behind, mostly our Afghan allies, now live in constant fear as the Taliban go door to door hunting them down.
Billions of dollars in military equipment were left behind by the Biden regime. The Taliban have been enjoying the new Blackhawk helicopters, M16s, and body armor that the US taxpayer paid for.
Afghanistan is being reopened as a hotbed for Islamic extremism. A once defeated ISIS has made a return and Al Qaeda has also made a comeback.
