Austin, Texas

Down in the great state of Texas big cities, run by Democrat politicians, moved to defund the police in an effort to quell the constant rioting and looting as well as score some needed political points in the 2020 election. Austin was one of the biggest cities to do this and the decision to slash police budgets backfired immediately after the election was over.

The city of Austin took a massive bite out of the police budget, an entire quarter of the budget was taken away by the city and this meant less boots on the ground and less pay for those officers that got to stay on the force.

Now though, the city has turned around on this decision following the massive spike in crime we are seeing across America. The city of Austin is restoring the department’s cut funds in order to fight the massive crime wave.
