Christopher Steele Admits Dossier Is Not ‘100% Accurate’

The ex-MI6 spy who infamously authored the Steele Dossier about former President Donald Trump’s alleged activities in Russia is finally ready to admit that not everything in the report is “100% accurate.”

Steele defended his accusations that Trump paid Russian prostitutes to urinate on the bed in the Ritz-Carlton’s presidential suite in Moscow, because Barack and Michelle Obama had previously slept there, and his claim that advisor Michael Cohen had traveled to Prague to meet with Russian officials in 2016.

In previews for an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, which airs Monday on Hulu, Steele said the “golden shower” tape, which has never been produced, hasn’t been released because he thinks “the Russians felt they got pretty good value out of Donald Trump when he was president of the U.S.”

When Stephanopoulos pressed if he actually believes the tape exists, Steele waffled. “I think that it probably does, but I wouldn’t put 100 percent certainty on it,” he replied.

Trump mocked the accusation during a speech at a Republican donor event last week. “I’m not into golden showers,” he quipped. “You know the great thing, our great first lady — ‘That one,’ she said, ‘I don’t believe that one.’”

Steele did hold firm on his claim that Michael Cohen had secret meetings with Kremlin officials, despite the FBI’s confirmation that Cohen had never traveled to the country.

Steele said he didn’t accept their findings despite Stephanopoulos pointing out that it “defies logic” that Cohen wouldn’t have admitted it after going to jail.

“I don’t agree with that, it’s self-incriminating to a very great degree.” Steele fired back. “I think it’s so incriminating and demeaning and the other reason is he might be scared of the consequences.”When asked about the dossier as a whole, Steele said, “I stand by the work we did, the sources that we had, and the professionalism in which we applied to it,” but admitted he was “prepared to accept that not everything in the dossier is 100 percent
