Republican Reps Marjorie Taylor Greene and Jim Jordan have endorsed rival Republican candidates in a swing central Florida district. Both endorsements, Jordan for Mills and Greene for Sabatini came on Monday. Currently, the district is held by Democrat Rep. Stephanie Murphy who was first elected in 2016.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Mills is an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran and Bronze Star recipient who went on to found a consulting firm and was appointed by former President Donald Trump to a Pentagon position.
“Cory Mills has been a leader on the battlefield, and a successful business owner. He has rescued Americans in Afghanistan, and he will take on the radical left in Congress. We need Cory Mills in Washington now more than ever to stand for freedom,” Jordan said in a statement.
Sabatini is a state representative and a member of the Florida Army National Guard.
“We do not need more spineless politicians infesting the Swamp who will bend their knee to Pelosi’s orders. I need more allies like Anthony Sabatini,” Greene said in a statement. “He isn’t afraid to take on the establishment. He stopped vaccine passports in the state. He is 100 percent pro-life and pro-Second Amendment. He believes in the America First agenda. He supports building the wall. He is the leader for election integrity in Florida and demanding an audit of the election results. And, he has agreed to support my efforts to impeach Joe Biden.”
While Florida’s 7th district is held by a Democrat, its included in the counties being redistricted which is being led by Republicans.
