Ted Lieu 

Ted Lieu, another California Democrat, said “the investigation resulted in multiple Trump officials being convicted of felonies,” in reference to the investigation started by the Steele dossier. Lieu was implying that the dossier was true because of the convictions. Fact of the matter is, these convictions were the result of perjury charges, meaning that those officials had lied under oath about one thing or another. Many of these perjury charges were overstated and what these officials lied about was rather mundane.
