New York Representative Hakeem Jeffries is a potential candidate for top Democrat. Jeffries is the 5th ranking Democrat in the House and has the ability to build a solid team to take power. The issues for Jeffries start at that team though, if Jeffries can not build an overwhelming force around him in any potential power grab he would be unable to get the rest of the Democrats to move.
