The Lone Star State was given a score of 76/100 by the Heritage Foundation. This score can largely be attributed to the state’s restrictions on ballot harvesting schemes and its vote counting practices. The state struggled with voter ID but not as much as other states(16/20). There is still room for improvement in the great state of Texas.
