Chinese President Xi Jinping has been another major figure in the media this year. China has continued its aggression in the east as it now threatens Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea more so than it did last year. China has also continued its cover-up of the Covid-19 pandemic and the country largely remains an information black hole.
