Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is by far one of the most influential figures in media. Dorsey, while the CEO of Twitter, issued death blows to a lot of major news stories that would have impacted political races had they received more coverage, if they received any at all. Dorsey stepping down from the social media giant was another reason to consider him as one of the most influential media figures this past year, his leaving the company had a major impact on the platform and many of his critics now want to see him come back.
