The Election Audit Process

The election audit process or the process of contesting elections is not only necessary but it is healthy for democracy. There needs to be a system in place for every election where the process can be recorded and monitored so that there can be no debate as to the legitimacy of an election. If one candidate thinks that they have been cheated then the books need to be opened and everything needs to be reviewed so that the candidate who one can govern without speculation of them having cheated being on the table.

There is no better example of this than in 2016 when Trump won the election fair and square and Democrats accused him of having cheated. Trump’s presidency was burdened by constant media speculation that he had cheated and illegitimacy won the White House and a massive investigation hindered his ability to govern the country.
