Did former President Trump target Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in recent comments to One America News Network? That’s what it seems like.
During an interview, Trump referred to politicians who refuse to reveal their vaccination status as “gutless.” The intense rhetoric has caused some to wonder if he was specifically referencing DeSantis, who has also been floated as a potential 2024 competitor.
According to The Washington Examiner:
“Many politicians — I watched a couple of politicians be interviewed, and one of the questions was, ‘Did you get the booster?’ because they had the vaccine, and the answer is ‘yes,’ but they’re not answering it,” he said. “Because they’re gutless. You gotta say it, whether you had it or not.”
Trump also said that he does not believe “young, healthy people” should take the vaccine. He cited his son Barron, 15, whom he said was barely affected when he was infected with COVID-19. The former president also said he did not experience any side effects when he got the vaccine and argued that it saved tens of millions of lives globally.
DeSantis, who said that he received the “normal shot” of the COVID-19 vaccine, avoided a question about whether he got the booster shot in a Fox News interview last December.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL): “So, uh, I’ve done, whatever I did. The normal shot. And that at the end of the day is peoples’ individual decisions about what they want to do.”
Multiple pollsters have regarded DeSantis as Trump’s biggest competitor if both Republicans launch 2024 presidential campaigns.

President Trump, I have the same response to that as I have for any government agent demanding to know my “vaccine status.” It’s not your business, nor anybody else’s, except for my doctor and anyone else whom I choose to tell. Refusing to answer a personal question is not necessarily “gutless,” it may just be a realization that the question is too nosy to merit an answer. “Boxers or briefs?”
I love Trump but I agree with DeSantis. I only got the first two shots and have no plans to get the booster. I’m still not sure what is in those vaccines. I’m very healthy, do not drink or smoke. Get lots of sleep. Have no medical conditions. So I’m going to trust my natural immunity which seems to be working for me very well.
Steel sharpens steel in this case. They are very charismatic people and they can’t be expected to agree on absolutely everything. Trump has never been stingy with his barbs. In this case, stand by your principles! If you’ve had the jabs, tell people why you decided in that direction. Maybe it’s to protect vulnerable loved ones. HIS CHOICE. You may decide to choose differently. YOUR CHOICE!
Trump shouldn’t be attacking someone that is so popular in the Republican party. Would think he would be smarter than that!
Why if Trump plans on running in 2024? Everybody is fair game when it comes to election time. If Trump tells people how great DeSantis is they just might vote for DeSantis. What can’t happen is who ever wins the loser must come on board and support the winner. To run for office you must have a very tough skin and forget the past, to make the party to do its job in congress.

As much as I love Trump, he needs to back off on DeSantis. Our Fla. Governor has done an amazing job with the state, and has always backed Trump 100%. Trump needs to go after the libturd/deep state morons who are always biting at his heels!!!
Are you SURE he was talking about DeSantis? He’s not the only one out there.
My question is what are the long term side effects? Is anyone asking folks this? I’ll be open to say my memory has dulled since the shots. Things I should know clearly and quickly are frustrating me to a frazzle. But at least I know I should know them, so it’s not ‘heimers. But I am spending gobs of time re-learning (computer code) and not retaining it.
