Bolivia has been on a downward trend for many years and while there was a short rebound for economic growth in 2021, the country’s residents have been subjected to heavy tax burdens and restrictions to monetary freedom.

Bolivia’s economic freedom score is 43.0, making its economy the 169th freest in the 2022 Index. Bolivia is ranked 30th among 32 countries in the Americas region, and its overall score is below the regional and world averages.
By the end of Biden’s term the United States may be on that list.
