Fox News has inked a new deal with failed California gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner as a new contributor.
The Daily Caller reports:
“Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all,” CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement. “She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience.”
Jenner is set to make a debut appearance at 9:00 p.m. Thursday night.
“I am humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to Fox News Media’s millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people,” Jenner said in a statement.
Jenner, a frequent Fox guest, has been outspoken about a number of issues, including weighing in the transgender athlete debate. Jenner said in February that University of Pennsylvania transgender swimmer Lia Thomas shouldn’t “be able to compete” in the NCAA because “biological boys should not compete against women.”
Smart move.
No matter what you think of @Caitlyn_Jenner – there is a wealth of knowledge about sport and trans issues to offer.
There's nobody else more primed to speak on the issue that will dominate headlines in coming years. https://t.co/04ViIOh95X
