President Biden’s open border policy is catching up with him. In March alone more than 60,000 illegal migrants managed to avoid Border Patrol officers.

Fox News reports:

More than 62,000 illegal immigrants evaded Border Patrol agents in March, averaging about 2,000 a day, according to multiple Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources.

Per those same sources there have been more than 300,000 known “gotaways” — migrants who were not apprehended or turned themselves in and who got past agents — since fiscal year 2022 began on October 1st.

Known gotaways are migrants that are seen on cameras, sensors and other means but there is no manpower to get to.

The report comes as the Biden administration announced plans to rescind the Trump-era Title 42 policy. Republicans and some Democrats have criticized the administration’s decision to roll back the policy despite the warning of a massive migrant surge in the coming weeks.

“Today’s announcement by the [Centers for Disease Control] and the Biden administration is a frightening decision,” Manchin said in a statement.
