Former Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney says there are only three Republicans Donald Trump should be concerned about in 2024. The former Trump administration official named Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, and Hollywood actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the top challenger to Trump’s predicted 2024 presidential campaign.

Mediaite reports:

“[Gov. RonDeSantis [R-FL] could give him a run for his money. [Sen.] Tim Scott [R-SC] can give him a run for his money. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could give him a run for his money,” Mulvaney said.

Johnson has openly flirted with a presidential bid for years. His White House ambitions date back to 2017 when he told GQ there was a “real possibility” he would run. He ultimately passed on the 2020 race, but in several 2021 interviews, he reiterated that a future bid may yet be in the cards.

“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted,” Johnson USA Today. “Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people … So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.”

So far Johnson has yet to say any specific plans for 2024 but some surveys have revealed that the actor-turned-politician could see some success. Mulvaney also noted that Trump’s divisiveness could play role in Johnson’s success.

“There’s one other person who could beat him — which is himself,” Mulvaney told Politico. “Donald Trump is sometimes his own worst enemy when it comes to campaigning.”

  1. Judging by the applause meter at the CPAC and knowing how the dems are at attacking people’s character, I don’t think Cotton is anything Trump has to worry about.

  2. Yes, DeSantis (great Vice Presidential candidate building for 2028.
Not Scott, though another GREAT Vice Presidential candidate for a DeSantis ticket in 2028. Likewise Robinson of North Carolina.
Dwayne Johnson for President?? Ha ha. No.
Really got mad at Right Side Broadcasting for not interviewing Robinson or Cobb at the Trump rally, instead allowing Mike Lindell to swallow air time better spent educating North Carolinians and Americans about the strengths of those two.
Let’s face it– the GOP is very exciting right now.

  3. Dwayne “The Rock” is no fan of Donald Trump. He hates Trump, so why does anyone think he could win? More and more people are turning conservative, and Dwayne has NO chance in hell of winning the Presidency. My prediction is that there will not be a 2024 election. We are now under the Constitution FOR The United States, not the Constitution Of The United States. We are under the original Constitution of 1776. Trump is still President and is the only Commander in Chief, not Biden. Military law is now in effect which changes everything. All this 2024 election hype is all for naught. Wait and see!
