These Rebellious Companies Made California’s ‘Shame List’

California has developed a massive list of companies that is being referred to as a public shame list by some conservative groups. This list has hundreds of companies on it and many of the companies on the list were found to not be following a new California law that dictates that these companies must hire from ethinic groups the state approved of. 

The 2020 law required that publicly held companies hire board members from a preapproved list of ethnic minorities from the state. The list caught a lot of flak for not representing some ethnic groups like religious jews and muslims, the list only added asians to the list after some backlash.
