On Monday, a Florida judge finally rescinded the federal mask mandate for travel and as much as the country openly rejoiced it seems one New York Times reporter isn’t ready to let go of her woke security blanket.
A popular political Twitter account published a clearly satirical post about the mask order being rescinded but it was authentic enough to fool a New York Times reporter who then reached out for an interview.

According to The Daily Wire:
“I boarded a plane today with my son and mid flight, the pilot announces that the mask mandate is over,” Rabel posted Monday night. “Flight attendants pulled off their masks and sneezed directly into their hands while screaming ‘this is MAGA airspace.’ My son turned to me in tears. I don’t know what to do.”
The tweet mocks actor and convicted race hoaxer Jussie Smollett’s claim that he was attacked by Trump supporters in Chicago who screamed, “This is MAGA country!” It also pokes fun at liberals’ routine of using their children to make a political point, typically with unbelievable stories.
Rabel took the joke a step further by adding that his “cash app” would be accepting donations for his son’s “legal defense fund,” since Rabel would be “suing for intentional infliction of emotional distress.”
Despite the Twitter threat clearly being a joke one user didn’t seem to find it quite too funny. New York Times reporter Victoria Kim quickly replied hoping for an exclusive scoop on the disturbing event.
“Hi Jared, I’m a New York Times journalist, I’d love to speak to you over the phone about what happened on your flight this evening,” Kim messaged Rabel.
Many people would simply ignore the message but Rabel decided to have a bit more fun.
“Hello Victoria, I would love to discuss the incident at your earliest convenience,” Rabel wrote to Kim. “I was pretty upset about the whole thing. Unfortunately it’s satire that only someone at the NYT would believe.”
“In my time of contemplation, I was wondering how your team deals with the multitude of false stories that you peddle out daily to use as political propaganda,” Rabel slammed the Times.
Looks like some people still have a sense of humor, too bad the woke mob is too caught up to notice.
