Clinton Paid for the Steele Dossier 

One major point of contention that was widely debated but is now a settled matter, is the origin of the Steele dossier. It can now be said as a matter of fact that Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid for the Steele dossier, which was a document that contained all sorts of allegations about Trump with little to no evidence backing it. The document has also been thoroughly discredited and was run as a fact sheet by the media back in the 2016 election.
