Pennsylvania GOP Senate Primary
The Republican primary for former Senator Pat Toomey’s seat is between Mehmet Oz, David McCormick, and Kathy Barnette. Dr. Oz currently holds a lead in the race and was endorsed by Trump but is by no means a shoo-in to win the race.
Dr. Oz has remained the frontrunner for most of the race but a recent string of scandals has caused Barnett and McCormick to soar ahead in the polls.
What was a commanding lead for Oz has dwindled into a single-digit lead within the margin of error which means it could be anyone’s victory.
McCormick had been trailing behind Oz for weeks sitting in the No. 2 spot but conservative commentator Kathy Barnette has surged in the final weeks of the primary, overtaking McCormick for the No. 2 spot.
