Thursday, October 7, 2021, and the Child COVID Cases
The New York Times caught itself in a web of lies with an October article by Apoorva Mandavilli. They made several corrections to the article but one stood out more than the rest.
The article stated that 900,000 children were hospitalized in the United States from August 2020 to October 2021. The real number was 63,000. But a little exaggeration never hurt anyone, right?
The article also contained false information about Sweden’s and Denmark’s status on offering vaccines to children. Mandavilli claimed them as examples to follow when in reality, they’d halted their efforts to vaccinate children.
The blunders just kept going including a wrong date for an FDA meeting about approving Pfizer shots for children.
