A new task force being led by Vice President Kamala Harris is drawing speculation that the administration is trying to re-introduce the recently scrapped Government Disinformation Board under the guise of a new project. On Thursday, the administration announced a new task force aimed at addressing “online harassment and abuse.”
The Daily Wire reports:
“Today, President Biden will sign a Presidential Memorandum establishing the White House Task Force to Address Online Harassment and Abuse, responding to the need for government leadership to address online harms, which disproportionately affect women, girls, people of color, and LGBTQI+ individuals,” the press release stated, going on to note that the task force would include Attorney General Merrick Garland and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, among others.
The task force’s primary goal will be to “produce recommendations for the Federal government, state governments, technology platforms, schools, and other public and private entities to prevent and address technology-facilitated gender-based violence, including a focus on the nexus between online misogyny and radicalization to violence.”
The task force was also to be instrumental in “developing programs and policies to address the disproportionate impact of online harassment, abuse, and disinformation campaigns targeting women and LGBTQI+ individuals who are public and political figures, government and civic leaders, activists, and journalists in the United States and globally.”
However, a reporter noted during Thursday’s White House press briefing, that several of the task force’s objectives appeared to be very similar to those of the recently-scrapped Disinformation Governance Board.
“On a background call last night we were told that it’s going to be different from the Disinformation Governance Board in that it’s going to focus on illegal conduct online,” the reporter began. “But the memo creating it was a little bit broader and it mentioned — I’m quoting from the document — ‘online harassment, abuse, and disinformation campaigns targeting women and LGBTQI+ individuals who are public and political figures.’”

Attacking faceless institutions is difficult, so a figurehead (almost always a woman or person of color) is found to serve as its face. Whether that person has actual power within that institution is often immaterial. By discrediting those made to represent institutions they seek to bring down, they discredit the institution itself.
addressing; “online harassment and abuse.”,…. Well since presently, the reich and the commissar Cho Bai Din,….are the sources of all online harassment and Abuse they might NOT be the best source to run this new group of Censors and Constitutional violators.
Is this going to be directed to any one group politically, or just protecting individuals over all, and without bias as to who they are,
or who they voted for.
The track record of this administration, hasn’t been very focused on what really matters in life, so anything they say is just a cover for something else more deceptive.
The democrats only want total control, and that’s just not right at all, and it’s the reason they are failing miserably.
When conservatives all instantly called it the “Ministry of Truth” the last time it raised its ugly head, they tanked it within a week. This reference to Orwell’s novel, 1984, made it pretty obvious what they were really doing. We need to keep this reference going in every comment on this reiteration of the “Ministry”. Let’s see if we can make them tank this one as well, instead of just waiting for Kamala to fail it to death.

Nothing to worry about. She will probably take charge of this in the same fashion she took in finding out the cause of border overrun by illegal invaders. Her first problem on that was she did not even know how to get to the border where the actual crisis was and still is. She will never get there but then she hasn’t been to the moon either.
