The White House aide who testified and provided all this information said that these meetings were in general terms, not over anything specific. One Representative who did drift towards asking for a pardon for something specific was Rep. Matt Gaetz.

Rep. Gaetz was alleged to have asked about a pardon for a group of individuals, of which he was included, that attended a meeting in the White House about the election.

The White House aide testified that the “general tone was, ‘We may get prosecuted because we were defensive of the president’s positions on these things.'”
