On Tuesday Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., compared the issues Georgia Senate candidate Hershel Walker has been facing with issues Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh faced back in 2018. Graham accused the media of circulating the recent allegations that Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker paid a former girlfriend to get an abortion in a similar style to how the media alleged Kavanaugh had sexual assaulted multiple women before he was a nominee for the Supreme Court. He mentioned how the two had a similar pattern in the media, as there was a report, in Walker’s case on an abortion, that lead to Walker denying the allegations only for another allegation to come forward, blindsiding Walker until they “drive him out.”
Graham’s comments come as current Democratic Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock slightly leads Walker in recent polls, though Graham believes that the road to a Republican majority “runs through Georgia,” giving reason as to why the media and the Democrats have latched onto these abortion claims so heavily.
