BIGGEST GOP Event Of The Year Sparks 2024 Rumors

After former President Trump’s 2024 announcement this week, the biggest question is which GOP leaders will run against him. While those answers might not come until 2023, many top GOP stars are gathering at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s (RJC) annual leadership meeting in Las Vegas this weekend. Starting Thursday, GOP members Larry Hogan, Maryland Governor, and Chris Christie, former New Jersey Governor and 2016 presidential candidate, took the stage. While other speakers for the weekend will include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, former Secretary of State and former CIA Director Mike Pompeo, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Florida Senator Rick Scott, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, and House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy.

The RJC will be “the biggest and best political event of the year” according to the RJC national political director. The director added that the “RJC will be celebrating Republicans flipping the U.S. House of Representatives and firing Nancy Pelosi, expanding the number of Jewish Republican Members in Congress, as well as the GOP garnering the largest share of the national Jewish vote in a generation in the midterm elections — including a record-smashing level of support in key states like Florida.”

Former President Donald Trump will be speaking to the audience live this year via satellite, though he will not be in attendance.

Though the large gathering of GOP leaders has sparked conversations surrounding the 2024 presidential election and who might run. While there seems to be a split in thinking of who will run, with some thinking Trump’s announcement will stop many from running and others still thinking there will be a good group running for the seat. The consensus seems to be that we will have more definite answers by mid-2023.
