Christie, the former New Jersey governor turned failed 2016 presidential candidate, is predicting six to eight major candidates instead of the 16 that ran against Trump in 2016. Though he isn’t suggesting narrowing the field, as he believes it is too early to do so. He is however mentioning that if DeSantis and Mike Pompeo run they would potentially be stealing MAGA supporters.
