As many of us have pointed out, we protect banks, politicians, celebrities, and we even protect inmates more than we protect children at our schools. What is wrong with our country that we place more value on those things than we do our children? Maybe we take 50 billion dollars – like that we sent to Ukraine to protect their pensions – and use it to protect America’s children. Country singer John Rich, has made mention that the Covenant school did not have a school resource officer – and while many will jump to the argument of banning “assault weapons” those are not a thing. A gun is a gun, and an assault weapon is a method of use. You can use ANYTHING as an assault weapon. While school shootings always seem to bring this argument up, this time things were different as it was a Christian school that was targeted.
