Biden’s Approval Ratings Hit a New Low
According to a recent poll by the Washington Post and ABC News, President Biden’s approval rating has reached a new low of 36 percent, which is the lowest approval rating he has received since taking office. The poll also found that 56 percent of respondents disapprove of his performance, with 47 percent of those strongly disapproving. One reason for this decline in approval may be due to the ending of Title 42 without any alternative put in its place, 700,000 illegal immigrants are looking to enter the United States by the end of this week. Additionally, the economy appears to be heading in a negative direction, while Trump’s popularity in polls continues to rise, all contributing to the decline in Biden’s approval rating.
Democrats Prefer Someone Other Than Biden for 2024 Presidential Election
According to a recent poll, a majority of Democrats or Democrat-leaning respondents believe that the party should nominate someone other than Joe Biden for the 2024 presidential election. When asked whether they would like Biden to run for a second term or if they preferred another candidate, 58% of respondents chose the latter. However, despite Robert F. Kennedy Jr. being seen as anti-establishment to the Democratic base and polling at around 20%, he is unlikely to have the opportunity to face Biden in a debate as the Democratic National Committee has announced that there will be no debates against the President.
Trump Leads Among Republicans
Among Republicans, Trump holds a commanding lead again. When a full field was tested, Trump stands at 43 percent—and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis down at 20 percent.
Majorities Believe Biden is Unfit for Office
According to a recent poll, a clear majority of Americans believe that President Joe Biden is physically and mentally unfit for office. When asked about Biden’s mental sharpness, 63 percent of respondents said he does not have what it takes to serve effectively as president, while just 32 percent said he does, and five percent had no opinion. Similarly, 62 percent of respondents said Biden is not in good enough physical health to serve effectively as president, while only 33 percent said he is, and five percent had no opinion. These findings suggest that there is a widespread consensus among Americans that Biden is considered unfit for a second term in the White House, despite attempts to dismiss his cognitive decline as merely a stutter.
Trump Receives Higher Marks on the Economy
According to the survey, a majority of Americans believe that Trump did a better job in handling the economy than Biden. Specifically, 54 percent of respondents thought that Trump was better in this regard, while only 36 percent believed that Biden is doing better. This suggests that even some Democrats acknowledge that the economy performed better under Trump’s administration.
