Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has made a splash in the political arena with the official launch of his presidential campaign. However, his move didn’t go unnoticed by former President Donald Trump, who wasted no time in responding to DeSantis’ campaign ad.
“I will shortly be putting out two videos on Truth Social. I think you will enjoy them. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Trump didn’t stop there, taking a jab at DeSantis, whom he referred to as “DeSanctimonious.” Trump pointed out that DeSantis raised a significant amount of money during his run for Governor, although it’s unclear if those funds can be utilized for his current “escapade,” saying:
“DeSanctimonious raised much of his money during his run for Governor, which in theory cannot be used for his current “escapade,” and before his poll numbers tanked – and wow(!) did they tank!”
Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has officially announced his candidacy for the presidency, following speculation that has been circulating for months. His endorsement of successful candidates during the November 2022 midterm elections contributed to his growing popularity for a potential presidential bid. Despite facing opposition from former President Donald Trump, DeSantis has built a strong political reputation by championing conservative agendas and taking a stand against pandemic-related restrictions. He joins other notable figures like Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Asa Hutchinson, and Mike Pence as prospective candidates in the GOP nomination race.
Taking to Twitter as the newly declared 2024 U.S. Presidential candidate, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida launched his campaign ad with a powerful message:
“I am embarking on a presidential journey to lead the resurgence of our great nation—the United States of America.”
