This disclosure came after Trump received communication from prosecutor Jack Smith, who made him aware that he’s now under scrutiny in the ongoing January 6th Grand Jury Inquiry. The brief four-day notice to appear before the Grand Jury, Trump argued, often signifies a forthcoming arrest and indictment.

During his revelation, Trump seized the opportunity to criticize current President Joe Biden and his administration. He accused them of engineering this third charge in concert with Attorney General Merrick Garland, in an effort to target him as their primary political opponent. Trump also asserted his superiority over Biden in the presidential race.

This new issue adds to the mounting legal challenges Trump has faced since leaving office, highlighting the ongoing investigations into the January 6th event when a violent mob stormed the U.S. Capitol. Trump quoted his received letter from Smith, and Trump would comment on the situation saying he is the: “TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury Investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment.”

Adding, “Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I turned down for the United States Supreme Court…together with Joe Biden’s Department of Injustice, have effectively issued a third indictment and Arrest of Joe Biden’s NUMBER ONE POLITICAL OPPONENT, who is largely dominating him in the race for the Presidency.”
