Fulton County District Attorney's Office Facebook

The Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, will present her case against former President Trump to a grand jury early next week according t reports. The call for witnesses is underway, signaling a significant phase in this investigation.

Two individuals have already indicated that they have been summoned for this purpose. Independent journalist George Chidi revealed through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he has been approached by Willis’ office for his testimony. Similarly, Former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan, a Republican, confirmed his notification to appear. He conveyed his intention to cooperate fully, saying:

“I did just receive notification to appear on Tuesday morning at the Fulton County grand jury and I certainly will be there to do my part in recounting the facts. I have no expectations as to the questions, and I’ll certainly answer whatever questions are put in front of me.”

The actions of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis suggest a strategic move towards a comprehensive presentation where she may potentially levy charges against numerous individuals, supposedly tied to alleged attempts to invalidate the 2020 election results. The investigations against Trump, the Republican frontrunner, place him in an unprecedented legal position. It’s evident that these legal predicaments have become a significant talking point in the Republican primary, with Trump asserting political motivations behind his indictments and leveraging them in fundraising campaigns.
