In an effort to compete with major networks like Fox News, the conservative news outlet Newsmax has added yet another Trumper adviser to its team. Jason Miller will be joining the network as a contributor, the announcement comes after Andrew Giuliani recently revealed he also signed a contract with Newsmax.

The Hill reports:

Newsmax announced on Thursday that it’s hiring Jason Miller, who is part of a small circle of current advisers to Trump’s post-presidency political operation, and Andrew Giuliani, the son of Rudy Giuliani and a former White House aide.

“Jason and Andrew have been Washington insiders without becoming part of the problem,” Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy said in a statement. “Both of these gentlemen have tremendous track records in media and government, making their analysis of news events even more insightful for our viewers.”

The additions of Miller and Giuliani come as cable news outlets search for new ways to attract viewers after experiencing boom times when Trump was in office.

Newsmax, which has been around since the 1990s, has seen a bump in ratings recently after fashioning itself as a more pro-Trump alternative to Fox News.

During the 2020 election cycle, Newsmax saw a major bump in viewership as Trump repeatedly encouraged viewers to switch from Fox News over to competitors like Newsmax and OANN. Bringing Miller onto Newsmax seems to be the latest way a network is attempting to attract viewers in a post-Trump era where most networks saw major booms in viewers.
