Senate Republicans happily put Democrats in uncomfortable positions as they were forced to cast votes on a host of controversial topics during a 14-hour “vote-a-rama.”The move came as Republicans resisted the budget resolution that would open the door to Democrats passing their massive $3.5T spending bill. The vote-a-rama is a step in budget reconciliation that allows senators to bring amendments up for votes until they get tired of doing so. Democrats are using the process to avoid a legislative filibuster in the Senate.
