Donald Trump had the best response to being banned from all the major social media platforms… He’s launching his own.

The former president announced the formation of the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) with a dual mission to “create a rival to the liberal media consortium and fight back against the ‘Big Tech’ companies of Silicon Valley, which have used their unilateral power to silence opposing voices in America.”

Trump was banned from Twitter and “indefinitely suspended from Facebook following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Youtube removed videos from his channel, while Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch disabled his account altogether. TikTok pulled down videos of his speeches they claimed incited violence, and Snapchat stopped promoting his account.

“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable,” Trump said. “I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon.”

The company’s inaugural project, TRUTH Social, will launch by invite only in November, and is poised to open up to the public in the first quarter of 2022.

“TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all,” he continued. “I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”

TRUTH Social is described as “America’s ‘Big Tent’ social media platform that encourages an open, free, and honest global conversation without discriminating against political ideology,” on the website’s landing page

The company is also reportedly planning to launch a video streaming service called TMTG+, which will feature “‘non-woke’ entertainment programming, news, podcasts, and more.”

The subscription service will be helmed by mega-reality television hitmaker, Scott St. John, who is the executive producer of “America’s Got Talent.”
