Recently the Supreme Court ruled on New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen and in that battle, the 2nd Amendment came out on top. This ruling effectively crushes the “may issue” permit system that a lot of states have, and now these states are going to scramble to find something else to put on the books.
These “may issue” permit systems require that residents of a state must provide some sort of proof that they need to carry a firearm for self-defense, something that goes beyond the general concerns of normal people. These systems impose additional hoops to jump through for those looking to conceal carry. Now that they are gone, residents of states that had these laws should have an easy time getting their concealed carry permits.
