President Donald Trump needs your help. In the last six months of 2022, after Trump announced his third run for the presidency, he had only raised $9.5 million. This compares to the $11.8 million he made in the month and a half leading up to his announcement. While Trump has been the most productive fundraiser for the GOP in recent years, the last six weeks of 2022 are worrisome. As the Republican primary is set to be packed, this means Trump will need to fundraise more and faster to get ahead of all his potential competition.

In an exclusive share with MSNBC, “a person familiar with his haul,” mentioned the numbers. Republican operatives have stated that his decision and the time he launched his bid were not ideal. Launching his bid after a tough midterm season for GOP and donor fatigue from the midterms attributed to his losses.

According to NBC,

He has yet to launch a traditional mail-fundraising apparatus, which is a time-tested means of gathering small contributions in large numbers. And his early fundraising has been limited by his ban from Facebook, a top fundraising platform for him in 2016 and 2020, which kicked him off for inciting the mob that sacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. But the company has said the ban will be lifted.

Trump also hurt himself by announcing his campaign right after the midterm elections, a fundraising doldrums for candidates across the partisan and ideological spectrum.

Without Facebook, a lack of a mail fundraising system, and none of his signature rallies we will have to wait and see if getting those things up and running can help Trump. But in the meantime, the President needs your help to beat future opponents.
