According to sources, Former President Donald Trump is claiming that he will be arrested on Tuesday of next week in connection to the alleged hush money payments he made to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign. Trump cites “illegal leaks” from a “corrupt” and “highly political” Manhattan District Attorney’s office as evidence of this impending indictment.
He is urging his supporters to protest his indictment and reminding them that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s campaign was financed by liberal billionaire George Soros. However, many have claimed that the supporters of Trump should remain cautious, or avoid protesting altogether, as many in the political establishment and the media likely have their fingers crossed that these protests will be provoked into another Jan. 6, giving them another reason to attempt to tear Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign down. If he is indeed indicted, he would be the first US president in history to face criminal charges after leaving office.
Reports indicate that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office is preparing to issue an indictment against Trump. The potential charges stem from allegations that Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen sent $130,000 to Daniels to prevent her from disclosing her 2006 affair with Trump, which Trump allegedly reimbursed through installments. Trump denies any wrongdoing and has labeled the investigation as corrupt and highly political. However, the truth of the matter has yet to be proven.
The anticipation of Trump’s impending arrest has caused some to criticize the United States as resembling a “Banana Republic,” a broad term to describe any country with a weak government and economy, often with high levels of corruption and political instability. In these counties, dissenting leaders are often apprehended and for disrupting the status quo.
Meanwhile, Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has remained unscathed and continues to enjoy the support of the media, even being invited to speak about his life after the controversial “laptop from Hell” incident in 2020. Despite the existence of possibly hundreds or even thousands of files featuring illicit drug use and alleged sexual offenses, Hunter Biden has yet to face any legal repercussions. It seems unlikely that he ever will, given the corrupt and politically influenced nature of the FBI.
