NYPD Instructs Officers to Report in Uniform Following Trump Indictment

The New York Police Department (NYPD) issued a statement on Thursday night ordering all uniformed members to report for duty in full uniform as a “precautionary measure” on Friday morning. The NYPD website indicates that it employs approximately 36,000 officers and 19,000 civilian workers.

Barricades Unloaded Near Courthouse and District Attorney’s Offices

On March 20, workers were seen unloading steel barricades from an NYPD truck outside the Manhattan Criminal Court and the Manhattan district attorney’s offices, after former President Donald Trump had predicted that he would be arrested, and called for his supporters to protest.

Trump Indicted on Multiple Counts

According to “four people with knowledge of the matter,” a Manhattan grand jury voted on Thursday to indict Trump for his alleged “role in paying hush money to a porn star,” the New York Times reported. In addition, “two sources familiar with the case” allegedly told CNN that Trump is facing “more than 30 counts related to business fraud in an indictment from a Manhattan grand jury.”

Arraignment for Trump to be Coordinated

The Twitter account for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is backed by George Soros, released a statement indicating that his office has contacted Trump’s attorney to arrange his surrender for arraignment on a Supreme Court indictment that remains under seal.

Trump Calls Indictment Political Persecution

Former President Trump responded to the indictment with his own statement, calling it “political persecution and election interference at the highest level in history.” He went on to state that he believes the “Witch-Hunt” will backfire on Joe Biden, and promised that his movement and party will defeat Bragg and then Biden in the 2024 election, and “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
